Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Chicão Maranhense made the kick off and thus started the match. Armindo Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Maranhense in the 4th minute of play. Nestor Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Atafona got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Senna. The crowd rose to their feet as Periseiro's Vânderson Moreira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Remo Passos. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. Remo Passos made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Tadeu Meirelles sent off a good shot on target. Periseiro's Armindo Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Arce in the 38th minute of play. Armindo Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Ediberto Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Armindo Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Periseiro's Tadeu Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atafona's Remo Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Moreira in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vânderson Moreira made a kick off. After some careless play in the Periseiro defense, Alex Arce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armindo Berger. The Periseiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Berger should have stopped the shot. Armindo Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Maranhense in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Tadeu Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Periseiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeu Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chicão Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Berger having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Vânderson Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remo Passos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Alex Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chicão Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Periseiro's goalkeeper Armindo Berger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Arce. Armindo Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Maranhense in the 88th minute of play. In the 94th of the match, Chicão Maranhense tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Armindo Berger got in the way and made a wonderful save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Periseiro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atafona had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
