Vânderson Moreira started the match with the kick off. Armindo Berger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diamantino Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Robinho Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Berger having to interfere. When Diamantino Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Hortolandia AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Gildo Moraes was slow to take the kick. During this time Hortolandia AD's players had a chance to rest. Robinho Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júnior Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júnior Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, one of Periseiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Periseiro. The referee gave Hortolandia AD a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gildo Moraes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Periseiro's Armindo Berger. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Tadeu Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gustavo de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 66 minutes, Tadeu Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Periseiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Hortolandia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Moreira came free, but Gustavo de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Diamantino Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christiano Barral got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Robinho Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Armindo Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Figueiredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Periseiro's Ediberto Baptista got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Tadeu Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hortolandia AD booed when Periseiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robinho Madureira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Armindo Berger firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 99th match minute, Periseiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Eger to maneuver through the defense. Gildo Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armindo Berger having to make a save. The Periseiro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hortolandia AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
