Valdo Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Dias having to interfere. Charles das Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Netto having to make a save. 18 minutes into the match, Largao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Borges came free, but Arlindo Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes, Cacá Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Largao FC and the Montauri AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cacá Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Igor Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Netto having to interfere. In the 24th minute Igor Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes, Montauri AD's José Meira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arlindo Dias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montauri AD reached it. 33 minutes into the match, Montauri AD's Acácio Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arlindo Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdo Silva struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Arlindo Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montauri AD. If Valdo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Arlindo Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anderson Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Acácio Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montauri AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Acácio Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Igor Mello made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Montauri AD booed when Largao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52ndth minute of the game Valdo Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Largao FC's Arlindo Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charles das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ernesto Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Largao FC's Igor Mello dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Largao FC's goalkeeper Arlindo Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nico Pernambucano charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nico Pernambucano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Largao FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Nico Pernambucano hit a great ball. Charles das Neves in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ernesto Netto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cacá Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Valdo Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alfredo Pitta fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Largao FC's protests and gave Alfredo Pitta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute Acácio Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Largao FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
