Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Lucas Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Alvarenga having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Itaperarama's zone, Lucas Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Alvarenga came out of the goal and Lucas Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Itoby getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alfredão de Azevedo hit a great ball. Vicente Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Lucas Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Alvarenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Luís Zilles might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benê Mineiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Zilles ran back to his position shaking his head. Luís Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Benê Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Walmir Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Senna in the 48th minute of play forced Itaperarama's goalkeeper Norberto Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Miranda made a kick off. The supporters of Itaperarama booed when Itoby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Luís Zilles notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Itoby's Benê Mineiro. Benê Mineiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Itoby's Walmir Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Walmir Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmir Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Alvarenga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmir Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th match minute, Itaperarama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldão Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Luís Guerra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Alvarenga skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Lucas Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itoby's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Alvarenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Senna in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Luís Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Itaperarama succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Itoby had controlled the match.
