An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Queiroz in the 3rd minute of play forced Tamboara SS's goalkeeper Dé Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Tamboara SS's Ciro Vianna dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Dé da Mata was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciro Vianna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Tamboara SS's Dé Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão de Brito in the 15th minute of play. In the 16thth minute of the game Ciro Vianna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moitas's Dé da Mata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moitas's goalkeeper Dé da Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ciro Vianna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dé da Mata came out and tried to block the shot, but Ciro Vianna slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 19th minute. Pedrão de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Mendes having to interfere. Dé da Mata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Penha in the 31st minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Ciro Vianna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moitas's Dé da Mata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Magno Batista during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes, Tamboara SS's Luís Guilherme Souza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dé da Mata came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tamboara SS reached it. In the 48th minute Ciro Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dé da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Silvério Pereira made the kick off in the second half. Dé Mendes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrão de Brito went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Dé da Mata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Alberto Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Dé da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betão do Nascimento's late challenge caught a Tamboara SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betão do Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute of the match Luís Guilherme Souza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dé da Mata showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 87 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Tamboara SS's Ciro Vianna fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Moitas's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Penha came free, but Dé da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tamboara SS's Ciro Vianna in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moitas's goalie prevented a goal. Moitas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
