André Luiz Machado started the match with the kick off. Retirolandia's André Luiz Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 7 minutes, André Luiz Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Retirolandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Luiz Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. André Luiz Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adriano Ramalho having to make a save. Emerson de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Hortêncio Zilles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdir Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valdir Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Enio Jacinto made a precise shot to the right of Adriano Ramalho. Papanduba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Papanduba's Adriano Ramalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Papanduba from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in Retirolandia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Inácio Salgado placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emerson de Alcântara to make the kick off. A collision led to Retirolandia getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rogério de Senna hit a great ball. Emerson de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Zilles having to interfere. If Enio Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If André Luiz Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Retirolandia! André Luiz Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Luiz Machado struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Adriano Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Retirolandia. Adriano Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Papanduba's Hermínio Souza got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Retirolandia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulo Renato Cardoso in the 86th minute. Cássio Teles was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 89 minutes into the match, André Luiz Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriano Ramalho. Papanduba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luiz Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Enio Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 100th minute Enio Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enio Jacinto scored 3-1 in the 100th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adriano Ramalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Retirolandia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
