Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Leonel Breckenfeld started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Prado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luizinho da Silveira was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Lino Palmeira's late challenge caught a Onha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Onha booed when PILOTS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, PILOTS's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Prado came free, but Luizinho da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Leonel Breckenfeld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gernando Matos. Luizinho da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Prado was the one to do the kick off. PILOTS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Onha's much stronger midfield.
