Tabatinga SC's Rafa Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Cerezo in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Pedro Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfredão Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romário Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Fernandez to make the kick off. The supporters of Tabatinga SC booed when Cruzeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Tabatinga SC's Vitinho Leal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romário Bittencourt. That made the score 1-2 after 54 minutes of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes in the game Gonçalo do Nascimento did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vitinho Leal. 93 minutes into the match, Enéas dos Santos notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Tabatinga SC's Rafa Toscano. Rafa Toscano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
