Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Agostinho Fontes made the kick off which started today's match. Haroldo Guedes charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Guedes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Arruda in the 6th minute of play forced Enamuna SC's goalkeeper Serafim Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafim Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Fernandez went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pedro Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Serafim Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzeiro. In the 14th minute Clemente Barros suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 14 minutes into the game, Vágner Hames was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Enamuna SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro the free kick. Vágner Hames kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Enamuna SC's zone, Enéas dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafim Moura came out of the goal and Enéas dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredão Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Moura having to interfere. Wilson de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Alfredão Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Enamuna SC defense, Pedro Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafim Moura. The Enamuna SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafim Moura should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Enamuna SC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Fernandez came free, but Serafim Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enamuna SC's Serafim Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Enamuna SC from getting a goal against them. After 57 played minutes Enamuna SC got a freekick which was hit by Vágner Hames. 63 minutes into the game, Marcelo Gerber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Romário Bittencourt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th minute Rubinho do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romário Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Gerber in the 70th minute of play forced Cruzeiro's goalkeeper Romário Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Serafim Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Fontes came free, but Romário Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cruzeiro's Enéas dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Enamuna SC's zone, Alfredão Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafim Moura came out of the goal and Alfredão Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute of the game, Alfredão Cerezo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Ciro de Barros fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Enamuna SC's protests and gave Ciro de Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Romário Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Hames in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over Cruzeiro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Enamuna SC throughout the match.
