Luiz Paulo Veloso made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Gláuber Luz sent off a good shot on target. Benê Dias's late challenge caught a Cacimbinhas AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benê Dias helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Tibiri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Dias to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes Cacimbinhas AD got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Cavalcante. In the 47th minute, Cacimbinhas AD's Egídio Cavalcante fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Jonas Cruz was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelinho Alves was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Paulo Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Luz in the 95th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Veloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gláuber Luz went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.
