Walmyr Loureiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Lago in the 3rd minute. Hugo de Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Augusto de Almeida in the 4th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dráuzio Saldanha in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmyr Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walmyr Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Lustosa's Douglas Romero got a free kick in the 14th minute. Elano Maia struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Hugo de Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lustosa. In the 29th minute, Marcus Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinho do Nascimento during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lustosa getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Claudinho do Nascimento hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Marcus Lago in the 34th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Walmyr Loureiro's left hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráuzio Saldanha in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmyr Loureiro saved Lustosa from getting behind. Téo Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Walmyr Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jitauna AD. Téo Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Walmyr Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 69 minutes of play, Jitauna AD's Dráuzio Saldanha made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmyr Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Téo Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Walmyr Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jitauna AD's José Vítor Negri got a free kick in the 79th minute. Hugo de Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Maia in the 81st minute of the match. Dráuzio Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Walmyr Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dráuzio Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr Loureiro having to interfere. If Fernão Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Tales Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
