Décio Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Félix having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Kaká Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tales Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tales Félix was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hélio Castro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Laerte Ortiz scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flávio Veloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kaká Pitta's late challenge caught a Caita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaká Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. Caita's Elano Bastos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cafeeiros SS. If Hélio Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélio Castro struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Tales Félix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cafeeiros SS. 33 minutes into the game, Décio Toscano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tales Félix. Décio Toscano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Hélio Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tales Félix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélio Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Velasco hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Cafeeiros SS's Décio Toscano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tales Félix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 played minutes Caita got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho de Lara. After a defensive mix-up in Caita's zone, Décio Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Félix came out of the goal and Décio Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hélio Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tales Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Décio Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Félix having to interfere. Caita's Tales Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Castro in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute of the match Pedrão Duarte shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tales Félix showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. During the 68th minute of the match Laerte Ortiz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Laerte Ortiz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 69 played minutes Caita got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Ortiz. Hélio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Hélio Castro sped through Caita's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tales Félix. Tales Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Castro in the 79th minute of the match. Décio Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 83 minutes, Décio Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cafeeiros SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Décio Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hélio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Décio Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cafeeiros SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Décio Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tales Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cafeeiros SS fully deserved thier win.
