With a little luck, Acapucai SS's Nelsinho Cearense got control of the ball when Tiago Gabriel Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joel Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sporting getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Zé Carlos Queirós hit a great ball. Acapucai SS's Tostão Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cipriano de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Cearense having to interfere. Egídio Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Joel Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tostão Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Catarinense having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Sporting's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Leme came free, but Joel Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zézinho Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Tostão Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd match minute, Sporting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Sousa to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Alex Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Egídio Vander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Catarinense. Sporting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egídio Vander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 75th minute, Gabriel de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Goiano in the 76th minute of the match. Sporting's Joel Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the match, Sporting's goalkeeper Joel Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tostão Leme. Nelsinho Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
