Jorge de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Cearense having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Tostão Leme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cauã Garcia. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Tostão Leme struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Cauã Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acapucai SS. 20 minutes into the match, Isaltino Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelsinho Cearense. Acapucai SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaltino Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 22nd minute, Marcelo Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Egídio Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Acapucai SS's Cauã Garcia threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Egídio Vander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Curytiba's Cauã Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Vander in the 42nd minute of play. Jorge de Toledo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelsinho Cearense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Nelsinho Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge de Toledo went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaltino Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. Egídio Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egídio Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Garcia having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Acapucai SS's goal looked a bit too open when Isaltino Valle came free, but Nelsinho Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tostão Leme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cauã Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio Vander in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cauã Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Egídio Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nelsinho Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Marcelo Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curytiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acapucai SS the free kick. In the 96th minute, Alex Goiano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Curytiba's Cauã Garcia didn't even have to move. Curytiba were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Acapucai SS's much stronger midfield.
