In the 5th minute, Dênis de Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Furlan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 11th minute Eusébio Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugon Dula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Silves's Eusébio Camargo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugon Dula narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Emanuel Săvescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itamoji's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Săvescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Silves's Tiago Gabriel Teixeira got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Silves defense, Dênis de Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Furlan. The Silves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Furlan should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes in the game, Dênis de Amorim fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Angelo Furlan having to interfere. Cássio Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Furlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Silves's Luizão Massa in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itamoji's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizão Massa made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizão Massa during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Silves getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Luizão Massa hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Fonseca in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Furlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute Afonso Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 76 minutes, Afonso Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
