But to his dismay, Ernani Bezerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ernani Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 22 minutes, Felipe Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suzano Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Ernani Bezerra notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Chapecoense's Cido Alagoano. Cido Alagoano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Ernani Bezerra put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Cido Alagoano. Suzano Football Club's Wilson Mumbach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Dionísio in the 32nd minute of play. If Ernani Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernani Bezerra succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Alcântara during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Suzano Football Club's Felipe Alcântara got a free kick in the 40th minute. A hard shot 42 in the game by Cléberson Leite from a close distance when the talented Wilson Mumbach managed to make a qualified save. Suzano Football Club's players were relieved. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The Suzano Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Mumbach should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Cléberson Leite notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Suzano Football Club's Wilson Mumbach. Wilson Mumbach was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Cido Leite kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cido Alagoano. That made the score 2-6 in the 73 minute of play. Ernesto Barral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Mumbach. Suzano Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chapecoense's Cido Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Chapecoense from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Bezerra in the 82nd minute of play forced Chapecoense's goalkeeper Cido Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Ernani Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ernani Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Suzano Football Club's Wilson Mumbach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléberson Leite in the 94th minute of play. If Ernani Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
