Ramón Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Remo de Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Yan Urbano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remo de Godoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Yan Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Matias SC booed when Gurijuba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gurijuba SS's Amadeu Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauã de Castro in the 32nd minute of play. Amadeu Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino do Valle in the 33rd minute of the match. Cauã de Castro struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Amadeu Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matias SC. 41 minutes into the game, Sebastião Trancoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matias SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gurijuba SS the free kick. The supporters of Gurijuba SS booed when Matias SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Enio Sanches shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remo de Godoy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Ramón Martins made the kick off in the second half. Gurijuba SS's Mauro Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramón Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo de Godoy having to interfere. After 72 played minutes, Matias SC's Amílton Nogueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeu Magalhães came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Matias SC reached it. Matias SC's Remo de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Veiga in the 75th minute of play. Cauã de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Magalhães having to interfere. Yan Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Fernão Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matias SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernão Leme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute Cauã de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yan Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remo de Godoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yan Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. Gurijuba SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
