If Eurico Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pedrinha SC's Carlos Fernando Paraense got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute, Tiago Gabriel Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anderson Félix hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pedrinha SC's goalkeeper Dalmo Maranhense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute of the match, Eurico Catarinense got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dalmo Maranhense was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Anderson Félix struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Dalmo Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timbo. With an all-out effort, Timbo's Dalmo Maranhense threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tiago Gabriel Tinoco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Félix in the 52nd minute of play forced Pedrinha SC's goalkeeper Dalmo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tiago Gabriel Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timbo's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Gabriel Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denílson da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denílson da Cunha didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Tiago Gabriel Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Maranhense having to interfere. Abelardo Quadros succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 85th playminute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pedrinha SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
