Osvaldo Paraíba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Juninho da Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciro Montenegro was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Flavinho Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Juninho da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Montenegro having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Flavinho Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséias Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Peixoto in the 22nd minute of play. Ciro Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, Atletico Grajaú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Miranda to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 28 minutes, Ronaldo Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Broking FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Paraíba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Atletico Grajaú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Marcinho Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Artur Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Oséias Zanette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Grajaú. Osvaldo Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ciro Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio de Castro made a kick off. With his leg Oséias Zanette managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Atletico Grajaú's Artur Peixoto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After recieving a nice pass, Broking FC's Ronaldo Lara tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Júlio de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Atletico Grajaú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio de Castro couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Júlio de Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oséias Zanette was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 68th minute Osvaldo Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Atletico Grajaú got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Silveira. Ciro Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Atletico Grajaú's Ciro Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Paraíba in the 80th minute of play. Marcinho Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Oséias Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio de Castro in the 85th minute of the match. If Júlio de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
