In the 10th minute João Pedro Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexsandro Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iaronka FC's Vítor Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Negri in the 15th minute of play. Dinei Varela got his second yellow card in the match during the 15th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 16th match minute, Iaronka FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Varela to maneuver through the defense. When Tomé Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iaronka FC's protests and gave Tomé Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Iaronka FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tomé Fernandes hit a great ball. Vítor Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerson Negri in the 19th minute of play. If João Pedro Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Vieira in the 23rd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Neto's Gerson Negri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Marquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Pedro Schmidt got free with Alexsandro Toledo in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Pedro Schmidt to strike the kick off in the second half. Giuseppe Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alexsandro Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Pedro Schmidt struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Alexsandro Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iaronka FC. When Teodoro Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Neto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Vieira couldn't finish the play. Vítor Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, João Pedro Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iaronka FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Pedro Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexsandro Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Pedro Schmidt in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexsandro Toledo saved Neto from getting behind. The supporters of Iaronka FC booed when Neto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Pedro Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iaronka FC's Tomé Fernandes suffered a sore thigh after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Neto's Lauro Hames got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Giuseppe Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Neto's zone, Oséas Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexsandro Toledo came out of the goal and Oséas Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Oséas Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iaronka FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséas Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexsandro Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iaronka FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
