Luiz Fábio Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Gonçalves in the 32nd minute of the match. Tupitinga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vermelha the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Aírton Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Mumbach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. David Mumbach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Gonçalves in the 66th minute of play forced Vermelha's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinei Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tupitinga's David Mumbach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Bastos in the 75th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Meira in the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Pena during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Tupitinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Pena to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Tupitinga's goalkeeper David Mumbach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei Sá. The Tupitinga supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vermelha's performance. The match ended with a win for Vermelha.
