Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rubens Motta started the match with the kick off. When Vágner Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lontra's protests and gave Vágner Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Lontra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Gláuber do Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramón Souto in the 10th minute. Enio Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Jacinto having to interfere. Gláuber do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Proença in the 22nd minute of play. Ramón Jacinto came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lontra's Enio Braga. But to his dismay, Enio Braga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Nuguacu SC defense, Enio Braga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramón Jacinto. The Nuguacu SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramón Jacinto should have stopped the shot. Lontra's Gláuber do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Proença in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Rubens Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Enio Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Motta in the 40th minute of play forced Nuguacu SC's goalkeeper Ramón Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Rubens Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lontra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 46 played minutes Lontra got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Passos.

If Ramón Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute of the match Dudu Lima sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gláuber do Nascimento skillfully saved the ball. If Rubens Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramón Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuguacu SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Rubens Motta scored to the left of an out of position Ramón Jacinto, making the score, 0-4. Enio Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Jacinto having to interfere. With his leg Ramón Jacinto managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Lontra's Enio Braga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ramón Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Lontra's zone, Ramón Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gláuber do Nascimento came out of the goal and Ramón Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lontra played a much better game than Nuguacu SC and deserved their victory. The Nuguacu SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
