Durval Arósios short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Rodrigo Pontes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jairo Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. opaitaon's Rodrigo Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Souza in the 17th minute of play. Rodrigo Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Amaral in the 21st minute of the match. opaitaon's Rodrigo Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save opaitaon from getting a goal against them. opaitaon's Rodrigo Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Souza in the 24th minute of play. Rodrigo Pontes made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when José Carlos Hermes sent off a good shot on target. When Cacá Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored opaitaon's protests and gave Cacá Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes opaitaon got a freekick which was hit by Cacá Jacinto. 29 minutes into the match, José Carlos Hermes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Pontes. opaitaon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Carlos Hermes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Rodrigo Pontes was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Raí Amaral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Raí Amaral really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Durval Arósio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Rodrigo Pontes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 39th match minute, opaitaon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Prado to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes of play, Barrelina's Durval Arósio made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the opaitaon defense, José Carlos Hermes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodrigo Pontes. The opaitaon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodrigo Pontes should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilmar Prestes to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Arósio in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute José Carlos Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute Durval Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raí Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Pontes having to interfere. José Carlos Hermes took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodrigo Pontes. Durval Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Rodrigo Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Raí Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raí Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Amaral in the 69th minute of play forced opaitaon's goalkeeper Rodrigo Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Abel Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If José Carlos Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodrigo Pontes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raí Amaral went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. 77 minutes into the match, Durval Arósio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Pontes. opaitaon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durval Arósio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. The referee ignored opaitaon's protests and gave Umberto Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, opaitaon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Moreno to maneuver through the defense. Raí Amaral hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Abel Souza sped through opaitaon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rodrigo Pontes. Rodrigo Pontes came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Barrelina's Abel Souza. But to his dismay, Abel Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. Rodrigo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barrelina had played much better football throughout.
