Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Doriva de Sousa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, Ciro Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Paulo Dracena came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Abapa's Adolfo Baptista. But to his dismay, Adolfo Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. André Luís Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rui Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luís Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Coelho having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Adolfo Baptista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Paulo Dracena was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Abapa's goalkeeper Rui Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luís Romero. Adolfo Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Dracena having to interfere. João Vítor Marinho hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Pedro Paulo Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If André Luís Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Coelho having to interfere. Rui Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva de Sousa's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Ciro Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abapa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Ortiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Vítor Marinho hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Abapa's Adrianinho Prata tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Adolfo Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Abapa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Baptista couldn't finish the play. After the first half Abapa were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 58th minute, Joel Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Pedro Paulo Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Minas Esporte Clube's Doriva de Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Doriva de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Coelho having to interfere. Pedro Paulo Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Ortiz in the 73rd minute of the match. Abapa's Adolfo Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute Doriva de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Adolfo Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Pedro Paulo Dracena made a huge save. Ciro Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Ortiz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Minas Esporte Clube's Pedro Paulo Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Minas Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateus Abraão during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Minas Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Abraão to maneuver through the defense. Abapa played a much better game than Minas Esporte Clube and deserved their victory. The Minas Esporte Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
