The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the match, Lenílson Dantas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Acoteia's Durvalino Urbano. Durvalino Urbano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hernani Terra stood somewhat misplaced when Arí Lucas came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 13 minute. After a rather tough play, Bacanê Futebol Clube's Valdir Severo got a free kick in the 16th minute. Denílson França hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Ulysses Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Terra having to interfere. When Ulysses Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Acoteia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulysses Teixeira couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Durvalino Urbano came out of the goal and Lenílson Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bacanê Futebol Clube's Hernani Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Lucas in the 87th minute of play. Acoteia's Durvalino Urbano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Acoteia from getting a goal against them. Acoteia's Durvalino Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Dantas in the 93rd minute of play. Agnaldo Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Durvalino Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Bacanê Futebol Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Acoteia throughout the match.
