The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marquinhos Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Zé Carlos Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pavuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Carlos Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Júlio Vander made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Marquinhos Saraiva sent off a good shot on target. Timbu's Virgílio Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Hoffmann in the 93rd minute of play. Walmyr Maciel charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walmyr Maciel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Timbu's Walmyr Maciel got a free kick in the 95th minute.
