Robinho Xavier was a little too slow when Osvaldinho Borges got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 21st minute, Gildo Aparecido made a precise shot to the right of Robinho Xavier. Barcelona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Hernani Paraíba took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano Brodel. Luciano Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Robinho Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Robinho Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldinho Borges in the 37th minute of the match. Robinho Xavier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gildo Aparecido in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Borges in the 40th minute of play forced Barcelona FC's goalkeeper Robinho Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gildo Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Xavier having to interfere. Barcelona FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Osvaldinho Borges 48 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldinho Borges to make the kick off. If Hernani Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Brodel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernani Paraíba in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Barcelona FC's zone, Gildo Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Xavier came out of the goal and Gildo Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gildo Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Robinho Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gildo Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robinho Xavier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldinho Borges went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the match, Gildo Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robinho Xavier. Barcelona FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gildo Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Ibiraiaras EC's Gildo Aparecido got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robinho Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After having played for 97 minutes, Osvaldinho Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibiraiaras EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
