Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristóvão Loyola started the match with the kick off. In the 9th minute, Jonas da Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruque fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Beto Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Uruque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beto Veloso couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Abare SC's zone, Nilson Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmílson Velloso came out of the goal and Nilson Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonas da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Edmílson Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abare SC's Edmílson Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Bastos in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Uruque got a corner. Abare SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eduardo de Amorim ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Abare SC's goalie and right to Custódio Faria. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Abare SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Beto Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Velloso having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abare SC's goalkeeper Edmílson Velloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raphael Mendes hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Uruque's Waldir Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Loyola in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Uruque booed when Abare SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas da Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. Beto Veloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmílson Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beto Veloso ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 53rd minute, Jonas da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Edmílson Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beto Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmílson Velloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute Cristóvão Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Abare SC's Edmílson Velloso got control of the ball when Jonas da Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, Jonas da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beto Veloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmílson Velloso having to make a save. Beto Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Velloso having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Beto Veloso rounded Abare SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. When the match was over Uruque could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Abare SC throughout the match.
