Magno Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some careless play in the Luizianense SR defense, Chiquinho Veiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dida Trigo. The Luizianense SR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dida Trigo should have stopped the shot. José Maria Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Veloso having to interfere. Felipe Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Trigo having to interfere. If José Pedro Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarvuela's goalkeeper Magno Veloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Maria Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Magno Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Luizianense SR's José Pedro Ferraz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Magno Veloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felipe Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Guilherme Favoretto hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The supporters of Luizianense SR booed when Sarvuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Maria Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Veloso having to interfere. José Pedro Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sarvuela's André Luiz Oliveira got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute José Maria Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Corrêa in the 64th minute of play forced Luizianense SR's goalkeeper Dida Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Luizianense SR getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Elói do Valle hit a great ball. José Pedro Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, José Maria Ribeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magno Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Luizianense SR's José Maria Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Magno Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Ferraz in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Sarvuela defense, José Pedro Ferraz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magno Veloso. The Sarvuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magno Veloso should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Ribeiro in the 87th minute of play forced Sarvuela's goalkeeper Magno Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Pedro Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Magno Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, José Maria Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luizianense SR's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magno Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Maria Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sarvuela getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. André Luiz Oliveira hit a great ball. Luizianense SR walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
