Manoel Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Coelho having to interfere. Anísio Leal did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Luciano Pitta 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Superagui eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
