The supporters of Luiggi booed when Coivaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Remo Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coivaras's Gino Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Pedro Luiz Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Luiggi defense, Artur Mazza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raphael Marques. The Luiggi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raphael Marques should have stopped the shot. Pedro Luiz Ferrazs short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Gino Lopes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Luiggi booed when Coivaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artur Mazza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Remo Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Lopes came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Luiggi's Pedro Luiz Ferraz. But to his dismay, Pedro Luiz Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. With a little luck, Luiggi's Raphael Marques got control of the ball when Wágner Secco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Luiz Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Lopes having to interfere. In the 72nd minute of the match Claudinei Leme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gino Lopes skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Coivaras's zone, Ulysses Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gino Lopes came out of the goal and Ulysses Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovanni Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Marco Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gino Lopes was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Gino Lopes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Luiggi's Ulysses Simões shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Pedro Luiz Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiggi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
