Christian Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Manchester de Dortmund's Váldson Martins got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester de Dortmund's goalkeeper Christian Messias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Manchester de Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Costa came free, but Christian Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Domingues in the 88th minute of play. Marcelinho Neto struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Christian Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapes.
