Ramón Gaspar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Amadeu Tepedino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, 4 de Julho F.C.'s goalkeeper Amadeu Tepedino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramón Gaspar. Vinícius Queiroz came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by 4 de Julho F.C.'s Aluísio Guerra. But to his dismay, Aluísio Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With his leg Amadeu Tepedino managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Mambure's Ramón Gaspar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tomé Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Vinícius Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Amadeu Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tomé Toscano made the kick off in the second half. Vinícius Queiroz was a little too slow when Tomé Toscano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Tostão Britto, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 59th minute, Jairo Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 played minutes Mambure got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Negri. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aluísio Guerra got free with Vinícius Queiroz in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Amadeu Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Mambure's Vinícius Queiroz got control of the ball when Aluísio Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernandinho Negri was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Aluísio Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Queiroz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ramón Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mambure's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, 4 de Julho F.C.'s Tomé Toscano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 95th minute Tomé Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aluísio Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Queiroz having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 4 de Julho F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
