Guto Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guto Tasso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jairo Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Cerezo having to interfere. Mambure's Vinícius Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Vander in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Wanderson Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caracituba's supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Luís Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Jairo Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glauco Cerezo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandinho Negri's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute Jairo Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute Richard Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinícius Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Vander in the 40th minute of play. Richard Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ramón Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Glauco Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 56th minute when Jairo Rodrigues elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Vander in the 61st minute of play forced Mambure's goalkeeper Vinícius Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mambure's Jairo Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramón Gaspar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Glauco Cerezo having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Caracituba's zone, Jairo Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Cerezo came out of the goal and Jairo Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wanderson Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Queiroz having to interfere. Dráusio Leme's late challenge caught a Mambure's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dráusio Leme helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Caracituba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Leme to maneuver through the defense. Ramón Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Cerezo having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caracituba's goalkeeper Glauco Cerezo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Rodrigues scored 0-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Glauco Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mambure eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
