In the 3rd minute, Zé Paulo Simões reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiago dos Santos. The goal made the score 1-0. Sidney Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mangalot A.C's zone, Sidney Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago dos Santos came out of the goal and Sidney Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th match minute, Mangalot A.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. Tiago dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Viana in the 10th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Sidney Viana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiago dos Santos. Sidney Viana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Rogério Arces short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Tiago dos Santos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rogério Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago dos Santos didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Paulo Simões during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bahus getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Zé Paulo Simões hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Paulão Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangalot A.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulão Favoretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rogério Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago dos Santos having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Bahus's Rogério Arce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago dos Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidney Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Sidney Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bahus booed when Mangalot A.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Adolfo Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Viana in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Viana in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sidney Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago dos Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidney Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiago dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Sidney Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tiago dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Viana in the 68th minute of play. Sidney Viana struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tiago dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahus. 72 minutes into the match, Bahus's goalkeeper Claudinho Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Medeiros. Tiago dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Viana in the 74th minute of play. In the 76thth minute of the game Rogério Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mangalot A.C's Tiago dos Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Rogério Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mangalot A.C the free kick. A collision led to Bahus getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Rogério Arce hit a great ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Rogério Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bahus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidney Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago dos Santos having to interfere. If Zé Paulo Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Bahus were the better team. Bahus's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
