Pedrinho Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piato EC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Peres in the 26th minute of play forced Pitombos EC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Arruda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedrinho Hoffmann. Pitombos EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Pitombos EC's Pedrinho Hoffmann got control of the ball when Wellington Penha tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Luiz França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aníbal Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Araújo took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Luiz França. André Luiz França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Peres made a kick off. If Wellington Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Pitombos EC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Peres came free, but Pedrinho Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Piato EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Lago to maneuver through the defense. Aníbal Meireles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but André Luiz França firmly grabbed it by the left post. Abel Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. André Luiz França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Soeiro's late challenge caught a Pitombos EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Soeiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Roger Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Pitombos EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pitombos EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
