An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim da Silveira in the 5th minute of play forced Piracaua's goalkeeper Renato Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Londrina Esporte Club getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Arí Albuquerque hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frederico Porto in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Silva saved Piracaua from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Piracaua's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Porto came free, but Renato Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino do Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Chiquinho Messias made a huge save. Anísio Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38thth minute of the game Frederico Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piracaua's Renato Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederico Porto in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renato Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chiquinho Messias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino do Valle in the 43rd minute. Severino do Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Chiquinho Messias made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Piracaua's Anísio Araújo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chiquinho Messias. That made the score 1-0 after 48 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frederico Porto made a kick off. Renato Silva was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Frederico Porto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Frederico Porto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Anísio Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Messias having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Arí Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Londrina Esporte Club's Frederico Porto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renato Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When 何升克 came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Londrina Esporte Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 何升克 couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adilson Costa during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Londrina Esporte Club booed when Piracaua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Londrina Esporte Club's Chiquinho Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Araújo in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th minute, William Faustino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anísio Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Londrina Esporte Club fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Londrina Esporte Club's Frederico Porto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 93rd match minute, Piracaua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Viana to maneuver through the defense. Renato Silva acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from 何升克. Chiquinho Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Londrina Esporte Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
