An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Vianna in the 9th minute of play forced Machado FC -PI's goalkeeper Hermínio Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nunes F.C.'s João Paulo Moreno got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lino Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tomé Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Linhares hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When João Paulo Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Nunes F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Moreno couldn't finish the play. Hermínio Soeiro came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Nunes F.C.'s Gilson Vianna. But to his dismay, Gilson Vianna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gilson Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elivélton Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, João Paulo Moreno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hermínio Soeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

After 54 played minutes Machado FC -PI got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Linhares. If João Paulo Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. João Paulo Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermínio Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Moreno in the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, João Paulo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nunes F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 79 minutes, João Paulo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nunes F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Paulo Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermínio Soeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Lino Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Machado FC -PI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Gilson Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomé Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Nunes F.C.'s Gilson Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermínio Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Moreno in the 98th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Nunes F.C. were the better team. Nunes F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
