Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Angelo Linhares took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rogério Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Soeiro having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Hermínio Soeiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hermínio Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Teixeira in the 7th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Pedro Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Hermínio Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catu. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Teixeira in the 11th minute of play forced Machado FC -PI's goalkeeper Hermínio Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Linhares hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. José Pedro Teixeira had several of the Machado FC -PI's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Hermínio Soeiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Angelo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermínio Soeiro made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Carlos Eduardo de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. José Pedro Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Hermínio Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Machado FC -PI's goalkeeper Hermínio Soeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Paraibano. 33 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo de Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hermínio Soeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 38 minutes, José Pedro Teixeira made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Machado FC -PI's Hermínio Soeiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Carlos Eduardo de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Pedro Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Soeiro having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Pedro Teixeira to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Machado FC -PI's Mathias Cearense got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Caco da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Pedro Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58thth minute of the game José Pedro Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Machado FC -PI's Hermínio Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Eduardo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, José Pedro Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hermínio Soeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Eduardo de Amaral went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. José Pedro Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Soeiro having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Machado FC -PI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Cearense to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Caco da Fonseca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Machado FC -PI's Hermínio Soeiro didn't even have to move. Hermínio Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Hermínio Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Teixeira in the 86th minute of the match. Hermínio Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo de Amaral in the 87th minute of play. Hermínio Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Pedro Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92ndth minute of the game Carlos Eduardo de Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Machado FC -PI's Hermínio Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hermínio Soeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Pedro Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, José Pedro Teixeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0.
