The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erasmo de Godoy's late challenge caught a Punau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Célio Sena took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred Pereira. Fred Pereira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo de Godoy in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erasmo de Godoy struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Henrique Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube. A hard shot 46 in the game by Erasmo de Godoy from a close distance when the talented Henrique Andrade managed to make a qualified save. Punau's players were relieved. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasmo de Godoy was the one to do the kick off. Edinho de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Andrade having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Célio Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Punau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Edson Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edson Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, one of Punau:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Punau. The referee gave Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Erasmo de Godoy, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Punau's Henrique Andrade. 1-3. If Erasmo de Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Punau got a freekick which was hit by Váldson Linhares. Dé Lima struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Henrique Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube.
