Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luisão Pombal started the match with the kick off. Ciro Palmeira's late challenge caught a Moradas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Santos's Ciro Palmeira got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Luisão Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Santos's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Pombal came free, but Dalmo Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisão Pombal in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Gerber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aníbal de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Moradas's Aníbal de Almeida got a free kick in the 14th minute. With a little luck, Santos's Dalmo Gerber got control of the ball when Emanuel dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 played minutes Santos got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Guimarães. If Amadeu Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Moradas's Ulisses Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã de Queirós in the 27th minute of play. Dalmo Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Ulisses Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Proença in the 32nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Natã de Queirós tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulisses Lago saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Emanuel dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Pombal in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Fausto Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Moradas's Luisão Pombal in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santos's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Moradas booed when Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute Luisão Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã de Queirós in the 70th minute of play forced Moradas's goalkeeper Ulisses Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisão Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Gerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisão Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute Luisão Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisão Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Dalmo Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Santos's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Pombal came free, but Dalmo Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Viana's late challenge caught a Santos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Viana helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Moradas getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Erasmo Viana hit a great ball. Moradas were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Santos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aníbal de Almeida took the corner. The corner ended in Aníbal de Almeida almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santos's Dalmo Gerber did a great save. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
