Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nelson Nóbrega kicked off to start the match. Luisinho Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Rosado having to interfere. Ricardo Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Gaspar in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Espinhos FC booed when Baiazinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Nelson Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baiazinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléber Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Emanuel Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Espinhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Gaspar couldn't finish the play. When Bruninho Pirani fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baiazinha's protests and gave Bruninho Pirani a yellow card for diving instead. Bruninho Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Baiazinha's goalkeeper Ricardo Rosado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Carlos Augusto Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 48thth minute of the game Nelson Nóbrega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinhos FC's Cléber Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Carlos Augusto Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cléber Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Espinhos FC's Jonas Pontes got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute, Carlos Augusto Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cléber Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Emanuel Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 63rd match minute, Espinhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. If Carlos Augusto Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Baiazinha's zone, Zé Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Rosado came out of the goal and Zé Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Carlos Augusto Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Baiazinha got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Nóbrega. Emanuel Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Rosado having to interfere. Espinhos FC's Emanuel Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nelson Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Baiazinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelson Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Rosado having to interfere. Ricardo Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baiazinha were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Espinhos FC's much stronger midfield.
