Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Guilherme da Mata started the match with the kick off. Luís Guilherme da Mata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enio de Alcântara having to make a save. Padronal's Enio de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme da Mata in the 8th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Padronal got a freekick which was hit by João Queiroz. After having played for 12 minutes, Marcinho Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itai EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Guilherme da Mata in the 16th minute of play forced Padronal's goalkeeper Enio de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes, Luís Guilherme da Mata made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Padronal's Enio de Alcântara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcinho Pernambucano struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Enio de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itai EC. Itai EC's Nestor Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Guimarães in the 25th minute of play. Marcinho Pernambucano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enio de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Itai EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Sá to maneuver through the defense. Luciano Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nestor Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jardel Cosme hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Marcelinho Albuquerque sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Padronal's Enio de Alcântara didn't even have to move. When Marcinho Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Itai EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. If Luciano Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme da Mata in the 44th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Padronal's João Queiroz got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Luís Guilherme da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Jardel Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Padronal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itai EC the free kick. Jardel Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Téo Guimarães made the kick off in the second half. If Marcinho Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jardel Cosme was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Luís Guilherme da Mata put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Enio de Alcântara. In the 60th minute, Marcinho Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itai EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Luciano Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Cunha having to interfere. If Luís Guilherme da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcinho Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Enio de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdir Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Itai EC's Luís Guilherme da Mata in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Padronal's goalie prevented a goal. If Marcinho Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Padronal's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Pernambucano came free, but Enio de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Luís Guilherme da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Pernambucano in the 88th minute of play forced Padronal's goalkeeper Enio de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itai EC's Luís Guilherme da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Padronal got a freekick which was hit by João Queiroz. In the 93rd minute Itai EC were awarded a corner. Marcelinho Albuquerque went to the cornerflag to take it. Itai EC's Marcelinho Albuquerque was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Enio de Alcântara in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Itai EC's Cafu Porto got a free kick in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Itai EC had played much better football throughout.
