Arnaldo Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Durvalino Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. If Armando Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nando Tepedino's late challenge caught a Zeppelin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nando Tepedino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Zeppelin's Carlos Augusto Mumbach dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Correia in the 36th minute of play forced Zeppelin's goalkeeper Durvalino Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeppelin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sandrinho Cosme in the 39th minute. The corner ended in Sandrinho Cosme almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paripe EC's Gláuber Rosado did a great save. The supporters of Zeppelin booed when Paripe EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Augusto Mumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Rosado having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Augusto Mumbach got free with Gláuber Rosado in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Vieira made a kick off. Carlos Augusto Mumbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th match minute, Paripe EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Correia to maneuver through the defense. Gláuber Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Carlos Augusto Mumbach came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Zeppelin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Augusto Mumbach couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Armando Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Gláuber Rosado. Paripe EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A collision led to Paripe EC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Marcus Correia hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Vieira in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gláuber Rosado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Augusto Mumbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gláuber Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeppelin walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
