If Alf Sigfridsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Afonso Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arembepe's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Emilio's Evandro Lopez got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that Alf Sigfridsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermínio Marques was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Hermínio Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Vasconcelos in the 92nd minute of play. Alf Sigfridsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The Arembepe manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Emilio to win.
