Amadeu Paulista made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Fabiano Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. Artur Pernambucano charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Pernambucano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Artur Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Pacira SS's zone, Ronaldinho Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Paulista came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Quirino in the 37th minute of play forced Caracu EC's goalkeeper Jano Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caracu EC's goalkeeper Jano Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Fabiano Alagoano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu Paulista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 45th match minute, Caracu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Silveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute of the match Régis Abraão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jano Guimarães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustão Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jano Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Vidal in the 52nd minute of play. Ronaldinho Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Amadeu Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pacira SS's zone, Fabiano Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Paulista came out of the goal and Fabiano Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christiano Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Caracu EC's Jano Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Caracu EC from getting a goal against them. Jano Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Quirino in the 86th minute. Amadeu Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pacira SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caracu EC.
