Alex Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Fernando da Silveira having to make a save. Júlio Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando da Silveira having to interfere. In the 24th minute Alex Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdomiro Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdomiro Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valdomiro Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the last second Paulo Paes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Cristian Ortiz in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Ortiz to make the kick off. Samuca Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Carlos Fernando da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Júlio Gomes sent off a good shot on target. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
