Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Angelo de Toledo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Marcelo Abraão fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gorino AD's protests and gave Marcelo Abraão a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Jacarara's Teodoro Schmidt tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Nelsinho Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gorino AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Afonsinho Esteves, was totally fooled by Jacarara's Teodoro Schmidt, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Albertinho de Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonsinho Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho de Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. Kléber Braga's late challenge caught a Gorino AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kléber Braga helped the player get up and apologised. When Arnaldo Bueno fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacarara's protests and gave Arnaldo Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. If Albertinho de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Afonsinho Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo de Toledo in the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gorino AD's Marcelo Abraão got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Gorino AD's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Schmidt came free, but Afonsinho Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romário Vieira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelo de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Esteves having to interfere. Afonsinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo de Toledo in the 59th minute of play. Albertinho de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Afonsinho Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Albertinho de Brito made a precise shot to the right of Afonsinho Esteves. Gorino AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 79 minutes into the match, Jacarara's goalkeeper Percy Nogueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Carlos Dante. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Albertinho de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacarara's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertinho de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonsinho Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albertinho de Brito struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Afonsinho Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacarara.
