Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guga Messias started the match with the kick off. Tony Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maicon Arce having to interfere. In the 6th minute of the match, Guga Messias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maicon Arce saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tony Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maicon Arce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. Catone's Guga Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guga Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tony Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maicon Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Messias in the 17th minute of play. Gabriel Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guga Messias was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 26th minute. Catone's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Guga Messias struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Maicon Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catone. Maicon Arce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guga Messias's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Lúcio Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Aldeola FC's Maicon Arce got control of the ball when Tony Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Guga Messias took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Maicon Arce to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Aldeola FC booed when Catone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldeola FC were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Catone's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank de Salles took the corner. Luís Gustavo Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. César Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilvan Valladares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Catone getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Albertino Freitas hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Aldeola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Brito came free, but Maicon Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Frank de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilvan Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Aldeola FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Wiliam Marques hit a great ball. Gilvan Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. César Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Catone's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank de Salles was slow to take the kick. During this time Aldeola FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Aldeola FC's corner Frank de Salles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and César Correia quite easily take care of the ball. Maicon Arce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guga Messias's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Maurinho Quirino was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 96th minute Guga Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maicon Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Catone were the better team. Catone's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
