Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jucara SC's Ernesto Amorim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Jucara SC defense, Zé Carlos Sampaio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Luz. The Jucara SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Luz should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Angelo Luz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jucara SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeferson Cavalcante was slow to take the kick. During this time Cajueiro's players had a chance to rest. Jeferson Cavalcante made a great header on Cajueiro's corner, it was just that Jucara SC's Angelo Luz managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Jucara SC booed when Cajueiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mané Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Souto's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Zé Carlos Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Ernesto Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Cajueiro's Angelo Luz threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zé Carlos Sampaio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Osvaldo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitinho Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Silva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Angelo Luz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 41 played minutes Jucara SC got a freekick which was hit by David França. If Zé Carlos Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Cajueiro's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Amorim came free, but Mané Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Carlos Sampaio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cajueiro's Osvaldo Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Jucara SC defense, Osvaldo Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Luz. The Jucara SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Luz should have stopped the shot. If Zé Carlos Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Angelo Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Carlos Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Osvaldo Silva struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Angelo Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cajueiro. Mané Queirós came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Jucara SC's Armando Souto. But to his dismay, Armando Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Ernesto Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Antônio Carlos Brasil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jucara SC and the Cajueiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. 91 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Luz. Jucara SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
